Bona Fide Forensics travels from Northern California to the Reno–Tahoe region for on-site investigations and coordinates subsequent examinations based on the location of the evidence, parties involved, and technical questions being evaluated.

Bona Fide Forensics is led by Kirk LuMaye, PE, a licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Fire & Explosion Investigator with more than a decade of forensic investigation experience.
Kirk investigates structure and vehicle fires, water losses, mechanical failures, appliance failures, equipment losses, and other matters requiring engineering analysis.
His work includes scene examinations, evidence preservation and testing, engineering analysis, technical reporting, joint examinations, and expert witness support.
